    Default Intro, 58' William Garden

Just joined, we recently took over a 58' William Garden, built 1952. Formerly called Katherine Jane. Has been in the PNW for some time. I'm sure I will have lots of questions over time. I'm not new to boats, but this is my first heavy timber vessel. She was never run-down, and had a major re-fit in 2002. So far she's as turn-key as i could hope for a 69 year old vessel. We are smitten for sure...:-)

Here's another "what a beautiful boat!" & also another welcome to the forum. There are plenty of folks from Seattle here - though some are a bit odd I get my oddness indirectly as my boat was built in Seattle.

Congratulations on becoming the owner of a fine boat.William Garden was a prolific and talented designer and you had the good fortune to find a well kept example.

I just joined the Trawler Forum where I've seen many pictures of your beautiful boat and I also have a copy of your book on the way. I'm glad to see you here.
