I need to buy Interlux underwater seam compound. In my search, shopping online, I came across it sold through various distributors including Amazon. West Marine and Amazon price it around $64/ qt., and Jamestown Distributors at $46 with the can labelled differently as Interlux AkzoNobel (parent company).

That is a dramatic difference for the same quantity. Any idea why? That's bizaar. My initial thought was shelf life but that would probably only apply to product at local stores, which typically don't have the demand.
