    Default Replacement Nameplate

Anyone know a good place to buy a new nameplate ? I have an old Cape Dory and the nameplate has faded almost completely.

Woodboat, I 'Googled' " Cape Dory nameplate " and one of the sites which came up was " Cape Dory Sailboat Owners Association " , which appeared to offer a nameplate ( I have no affiliation ) - the website URL appears to be ' http://www.capedory.org' - hope that helps

Try Spartan Marine Hardware. THey’re the descendants of Cape Dory and probably made the original bronze bits. https://www.spartanmarine.com/

Thanks I checked Spartan but did not see them. I have a call in to Bristol. Any idea what the cost has been?

There have been several unsuccessful searches for Roger W and Bristol Bronze over the years.
Let us know if you succeed or find another source .

I have a Bristol Bronze price list from 2007/2008 that listed 18 different versions of the "Builders Plate, Cape Dory" from 10 to 36 for $66 each. Dealing with Roger W. can be exceptionally frustrating in my experience so I would encourage you to find another source. Good luck,

Possibly try Robinhood Marine Center in Georgetown, ME (Spartan is on the property) 207.371.2525. While Andy (the founder of Cape Dory) no longer owns it, they might have a lead?
