    Default Pretty picture from Newfoundland

Jerome Canning is the resident boatbuilder at the Wooden Boat Museum in Winterton, Newfoundland, as well as a furniture builder and an accomplished amateur photographer. Many of his photos are just downright beautiful, as well as evocative of the years that I spent living there. Here is a couple of Jerome's photos from last summer "out 'round the bay":

COVID has taught me that as much as I am drawn to the isolation of those photographs, it really isn't for me. The place is stunningly beautiful, though.

Once COVID is over this looks like it would be an awesome place to paddle around in a kayak.

The east shores of north Puget Sound probably had that same feeling before condos were invented.

Yes, those photos are lovely. I would be very happy living in such a place. Unfortunately, I am an American.
