Heads on pikes is fiercely rugged work... and occasionally stressful. A fella has to keep his energy up... and his mellow recharged <G> KEVIN?? Anyone seen Kevin?

Uht oh, Glen is in stealth mode. Bobby showed up as the last post.

Afternoon fellows, the thermo is over 95 here and I'm thinking the lawn can wait 'til morning to be mowed. I'll find something else to do meanwhile.

I saw his post once I opened the page, your name showed up on the Last Post button instead of his.

Yeah, I'm staying here by the fan in my shop while it's like this. Red's the smart one, he's taking a nap.

I just noticed stevebaby back in action over on the "Oz Politics" thread after a nasty medical vacation.
If he should show up here thirsty and hungry and looking for company, please treat him like family.
If Amber tries to treat him like fresh meat, simply shoo her away, okay?

Nasty medical vacations are good to be back from, all the best to Steve as he recoup's .

And, Glen, I take it by "family", you don't mean throw lawn darts at him and steal his weed, do ya?

    No?

    I didn't think so.

Wouldn't say no. More rain here last night, bit of a bother as some of the stuff that needs to be done around here requires dry(ish) ground.

Here's some more relaxing music......hippy dippy trippy lala.....

I'll have a rum & ade which is medium-dark rum poured over a couple handfuls of ice in a tall glass and then topped with lemonade. Just made it up.

The Wolf Goddess wanted to run the river, so I got up early to do the garden and greenhouse, then rigged our cat, did the shuttle, etc. Got back to the house at 11:30, with a trial run booked for the rebuilt research cat at 1:30 on the nearest reservoir. The plan was to finish a couple little jobs on the frame, load up the new boat, and stop at the local saloon for a beer and burger. But the little jobs whipped my arse.

Barely made it in time for the test, with no lunch and NO BEER! Then the science boys spent most of the time with the boat pulled up, messing with their computer, while the wind howled. Once we got on the water, various things went wrong. Then other things. So I have to rebuild the rebuilt frame tomorrow and pack up for a week of high water runs on the mighty Snake.

Suffer now, row later. No complaints.

This Saturday there will be the Bentonia Blues Festival in Bentonia, Mississippi. Duck Holmes and Terry Bean will be there along with the Homemade Jamz Blues Band and others. Bentonia was the home of Skip James. Unfortunately, I will be back in Georgia.
