How come WB forum doesn’t remember me?

Been a member of the forum for a few years, but for a while now I need to enter my user name and password on every visit.
this despite checking the Remember Me box EACH AND EVERY TIME.
I’ve searched but can’t find an answer.
thanks for any suggestions.

I'm sorry, but who are you? I don't recall you at all. Oh, wait, that's not what you meant.

Are you loading it in an incognito window or do you have cookies blocked? Either would cause this problem.

neither incognito nor blocker of cookies (in this case)
I do use a vpn, though

Oh, and also you should try clearing all of your cookies and other cached data from the site. I’ll bet you have something corrupted on the cache.

Safari current version on iPad using current iOS

(I’m using latest Safari for iOS right now with no issues so it’s not that)

If clearing the cache doesn’t work try deliberately logging off when you exit and see if that changes anything

I should have spoken up earlier - flushed the cache yesterday and as of this morning so far so good.
