      For accurate ‘freehand’ chainsawing of an initial scoring cut along a layout line, especially for rip and irregular type cuts, I prefer to push the bottom nose of the bar along the line, rather than pull it (as in the OP video). With a pull cut, the chain action can splinter, tear out, and obliterate the layout line ahead of the cut. Not a big deal for rough cuts though (as in the OP video).

      I appreciate the comments in the video about comparing the efficiency of hand-sawing some of the joinery cuts vs. power-sawing.
