  • Actually, I'm so sad, really

That it should come to this, a former President . . .

STFU and go knit a shawl, go read a magazine. When a Ukrainian soldier goes into the trenches, does he say, I'm so sad . . . that it should come to this? Can't we all be brothers?

No, I guarantee you that is not what he says. He says, here I go, God help me, I cannot do otherwise. And then he gets blown to pieces, an anonymous death in the mud . . . or not.

Next. Killing is necessary. And dying. Are you ready? Not, are they ready. Are you ready?

    On to Moscow.

This is different from United States vs. Trump? How? In what material aspect?

    F ing liberals. They're sad.

Of course it's all sad Osborne, but humans are like that. History tells us so.

Much sadness is fake. Like the "sadness" of "liberals".

No. The sadness of liberals is more genuine than that. Not saying much, but still.

What is this "sadness of liberals" of which you speak? I consider myself pretty liberal and I'm glad to see that just possibly someone might have to pay for exploiting our military secrets for their own aggrandizement. I realize we are only at the first step and that still might not happen.

Good one Jake, I am reserving my joy until conviction. The legal noose is drawing tighter.

What is really sad is that a nation with so much potential is circling the plug hoe on its way down the tubes.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Yes, but this is a thread about the U.S., I think--not the UK. Maybe start your own thread? (Once you find the next PM and maybe sort out that Brexit deal, eh?)

No point really. Our Trump wannabe has just spat out his dummy and resigned from politics.
Our RWW's may be idiots but are not bigoted idiots like much of the GOP, and they do help rather than block stuff for ''The General Welfare'' like regulating gun ownership, an affordable Health Care system and so on.

Or did he just loan you his drum to bang on?

It's a lame thing commentators say to mask the fact that they don't have anything else to say. "At the end of the day, we can only say it's a sad day going forward" etc. ad nauseum.

Exactly. "'We" can only say it's a sad day"? Who's "we"?

They allow themselves to be sad. Why can't they allow themselves to be jubilant?
