  • UTV side by sides for Adventure

I think I may want a used UTV to explore the back trails and open OHV land that is good for miles behind the house I am building. I know nothing of UTVs.

UTV, ATV, etc. Good way to get a spinal cord injury. I’d find a brand with good rollover protection. Then not buy it.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

I can't wait to take you on the mountain bikes to do the rubicon trail at 6000 feet.

If the market out there is like the market here used side by sides are not cheap since covid and supply chain issues. There’s utility likethe farm stuff, Kawasaki Mule brand type then there’s the jetski high hp long suspension crash and burn stuff like Kawasaki Teryx line. And some models attempting to do both ranges of sport and utility. Polaris seems to be more available.

You’re going to be looking at the same amount of money for a new sport side by side as a used highway capable 4x4. I’d want a vw dune buggy or similar 55 mph capable vehicle if you’re looking for you and wife off road fun just to avoid truck and trailer the side by side to the dirt.

This is the one I’d pick for me, you need the big tire go fast crash machines.

The 2024 Kawasaki MULE PRO-MX™ EPS side x side features speed-sensitive electric power steering and a rugged 695cc engine for capable hauling and towing power to get more done.

UTV when you could be so much cooler on one of these?

I think Lee is onto something.
                            Used, even non-road worthy, 4x4 is probably a lot more vehicle/$ than a 4-wheeler.
Winches, fore and aft might be a good idea.

I did a lot of offroad/dirt road riding with a sidecar/R100R rig. I carried a knobby on the sidecar and could change out the back wheel when I got to the trail head.

The one thing it lacked, which my earlier Ural had, was reverse. I carried camping gear or a kid in the sidecar.

And you can't fly the sidecar with a UTV
