    What does it smell like?

Probably better to identify the root cause and address that, rather than treat the symptom.

Probably don’t use both bleach and vinegar.

I seem to recall a passage in the Aubrey/Maturin books where they would intentionally flood the bilges a bit, then for exercise pump it all out, daily. Kept the bilges relatively fresh.

That would be for slave ships, with fish boats you can never get rid of that smell.

Yeah you can. Mine hasn’t fished for 25 years and it doesn’t smell like fish. Diesel maybe, but not fish.

Then, keep it clean. Seal the hatches and deck fittings so that rain, spray, or bloody-from-fishing wash water, does not get down there.
