                    Been there in 1996.
                    Hold his hand and tell him you love him. I pray you get there in time. One of the hardest things I ever had to do was watch my father die. It comes to all.

                        Tough times indeed. Also an opportunity to be grateful for what you both have had. It's been 6+ years since my dad died. Best wishes for you getting through this, Joe.

                          About the same for me, though I wasn't there when he passed. The last time we saw each other, it was a firm handshake as we parted.

                            Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

                            I missed my dad (he keeled over on his way to the breakfast table), and pretty much missed my mom (brain bleed) -- it took a while for me to get there.

                              Sorry, Joe. Mary’s Mom is getting hospice care right now. A tough time. I was with both of my parents when they passed, it was hard but I’m glad I was able to be there in their last moments.
