  • BROTM thought for the day.

"They have a lot of stupid people that vote in their primaries. They really do. I'm not really supposed to say that but it's an obvious fact. But when stupid people vote, you know who they nominate? Other stupid people." -- James Carville on the plethora of low-quality GQP candidates in the mid-term election.

How do you feel about scorpions in small bottles of Tequila, sent to other forumites?

Are you going to force yourself into having a thought EVERY day??? <G>

I like that one, though. I've got my 55th h.s. reunion coming up. Haven't attended since the 10th. Lots of folks urging me to show. Including one of my best buddies - who only recently found me on FB. I have mixed feelings. I went to a VERY redneck h.s.

Go and touch base with old school mates. After 55 years it would be VERY interesting to see how they are now and to hear about how they have lived their lives. Helluva experience. I’d go in a heartbeat.

I've never gone to a class reunion. Would be, I think, 34 this year.

I'm really only still in contact with three people I knew in high school. I'm not sure I'd be all that interested in the others anymore--not a slam, just a lack of connection or interest.

I went to my 50th only to discover that many of the cliquish snotty girls of my class in the 1960s . .

have not changed much at all, except that now they are fat, old and ugly.

I suggested the class moto be changed to "These seats are taken!"

Thanks for letting me vent !!

                  Vonnegut's comment is scary.

I went to my 50th & had an absolute blast. Talked with people I knew well & even better, some I didn't know well. Do it. If you have a bad time - oh well - but if you enjoy it, you will for the rest of your life.

It's not the present that's important, but the spirit in which it is sent.

I recently attended the 45th Anniversary of my eighth grade class. ( parochial school: we went from 8th to HS; no Junior High)

I did not want to go.

                        I went.

                        Had a GREAT time.

                        Go!
