On a personal note, when I need gas/petrol I go to a large station in the daytime. I’ve 3 stations closer to me. This year 2 of them have been the scenes of car jackings, and the third witnessed a shooting.

For personal protection, my everyday carry is an Acme Thunderer.

Friends in Minnesota do their shopping as early as possible these days. They'd like to come here but it's unlikely, but we are exploring possibilities.
