Planters

I like these planters and would like to make a few.

I can source the pipe and I thought the saucer things were tank heads.

But looking at tank heads, the ones I’ve found have vertical walls at the edge.

Any ideas what these metal saucers are used for or what you would call them so I can find them?

My father had this disc harrow blade brazed onto this cast iron stand when I was very young. The harrow blade is probably as old as I am. It was made for and is used as a bird bath.

From this distance it looks like succulents. I'm guessing they are potted in the core tube and the saucer thing is collecting water, and giving them a nice platform to fan out on.

Before you ask, Tom - I recently bought a couple of the rectangular planters shown in the OP photo - they are made of Cor-ten steel, designed to rust and develop a patina. They come with Styrofoam insulating panels, so you don't cook or freeze your plants. I like them a lot, so far .

It looks like it is a disc blade. I’ve found them up to 26”. Thanks!
