                              Congratulatuons. It IS a long road isn't it, and takes such perseverance!

                              The same for my son-in-law. The volunteering while he was an EMT trainer served him well getting into med school. They are in Emergency Medicine about an hour from us now (with my daughter and their two children) after doing all the training while living out in the Pac NW.
                              For the most part experience is making the same mistakes over and over again, only with greater confidence.

                                We went through the same process with our daughter, currently a GP on Vancouver Island.

                                Long road, not well paved.
