  • What advice would you give your younger self?

    .
Now that you’re older, smarter, and wiser, what advice would you give to your younger self if you were able to do it?

Don't have faith in anyone but yourself.

People will dislike you no matter what, so don't bother seeking their approval.

Real friendship is so rare that you will likely not trust it when it comes. So don't bother.

Don't marry someone who has kids.

Charity should only be done in anonymity on both sides. Do good but don't get involved, otherwise you will only be disappointed.

          Join a union.

There are no good politicians. Real change will never come. Don't bother getting involved. People suck.

No body cares about your opinion, they simply want a means to judge you, not to understand your stance. Just don't bother.
In the US this perverted idea of “blood and soil” over “constitutional principles” is the most radical and anti-democratic and anti-Conservative idea I have heard in my lifetime.

Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. No regrets would be nice.

Don't allow yourself to be used. I'm thinking MIC here.

Take your school loans and buy as much gold as you can with that money, because we can buy it in jewelry class for $32 per ounce.

Buy Apple stock with one year's summer job earnings. A student loan will be fine to cover tuition that year.

How much younger? I would have told my 40 yr old self to not bother challenging custody when my ex wanted to relocate with her new husband across the country. But that turned out ok anyway. My final attorny’s payment was done on the credit card and that was the last credit card I had.
But seriously how would a younger me take to heart all the things everyone else plus the universe was already saying and not ignore it for immediate rewards of the flesh?
I’d tell 17 yr old me to get a better bicycle pump for my trip up north.
Take the train instead of hitch hiking and don’t smoke dope on the side of the road in front of a coffee shop where cops frequent.
