    Hand cranked mincer
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

The wringer washing machine. These things would rip your arm off and turn it to pulp, and as a small boy, the danger involved made helping with the laundry incredibly exciting .
I still have both arms, and all my fingers.

We found a hand forged harpoon head, among many other antiquities. Our house was built circa 1760 by a whaling captain.

These, plus a mangle. Called a dolly tub and a posher in Lincolnshire dialect.
Also a cast iron 'trib', for my dad to renew leather shoe soles, and a coal bucket for the open fire.
Black-out curtains. Morrison shelter. Gas masks. An RAF chap billeted with us.

The copper... a tub for heating water over a wood chip fire. Ours had ice in it during winter, which needed to be melted so we could have a bath

The TV test pattern. Late at night, after the Queen rode her horse around and the flag flew and the air force did a TV fly past, we got the test pattern

                  Meat safes.
                  Ceramic jelly moulds.
                  Isinglass for preserving eggs.
                  powdered eggs.
No detergents- Mum would grate up bars of hard soap for the weekly wash in the dolly tub..
Trousers with buttons inside the waistband, and underpants with loops that went over the buttons.
A jug on the doorstep for the milkman to fill, via a pint measure, and a milk churn on his trap pulled by Tommy the pony.
                  Horsemeat for dinner.
Ice inside the windows in winter.

I don't know about the 1880s but Mum used those little bags in the 1960s.

We didn't have an old-fashioned hand cranked coffee grinder (or any coffee grinder back then because everyone bought their coffee as instant), but since then I do have friends with them and I like them a lot!

One thing I do not miss - cigarettes and people smoking.

That wasn't for coffee... which effectively didn't exist back then, that was for meat. Careful, don't stick your finger in it

Single cow bail, to hold the cow's head whilst milking. Usually came with a feed trough to keep them happy (we had 2).
Outside dunny, atop a very deep mine shaft. The updraught would make the lid flap so we had a rock on it.

                              Grandma's old steam-powered sewing machine.
