GOP candidate wins.
What will they do with Trump if he is convicted on Jack Smith federal charges?
I would first jump to the conclusion that Trump would be given a full
pardon.
On second thought, I'm thinking that the new prez would want to get rid of
Trump once and for all.
A pardoned Trump will come back in 2028 and run again no matter how the incumbent is doing. I've not doubt about that. It would be in the incumbent's best interest to eliminate him from running by not pardoning him.
By 2028, with Trump in prison, the MAGA movement will have moved on to the next shiny object and perhaps he will disappear from our lives.
At least I can dream....
I know he can't get a presidential pardon on the NY and Georgia state charges, but I don't have any faith in those prosecutions securing convictions.
Can a Georgia GOP governor give full pardons?
