Of course you could always title it "Gorgeous Porn-to-fino Sailing Yacht" given the location of the photos.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

Re: Drop dead gorgeous PØRN
That Charles Nicholson guy did have an eye, didn't he?
ERICA (GBR-57) ex-HECATE (KC-14) ex-ERICA (K-57) is a loverly Charles Nicholson designed 6m, built by Camper & Nicholson in 1938. She was commissioned by Ronald M. Teacher, of Teacher's Scotch Whisky, to compete in the 1938 British-American Team Race Challenge on Long Island Sound (where she got spanked by the US' slate of Sparkman & Stevens designs, including GOOSE (US-81), probably the winningest 6m ever built.)
She was a joy to sail when she was here in Seattle. Great boat. I helped pack her up to ship back to England, where she was properly restored by the Camper & Nicholas Yard in Gosport, England, the yard that built her. She's now one of the more competitive boats (3rd in the 2018 6m Worlds).
These pictures are from the 2018 6m Worlds, shot by Fiona Brown:

Here’s the Camper Nicholson 40 next to me. I believe about a 1991. It’s plastic of course, but they still make damn nice boats.

Portofino. I had the best mussels in my life at a small floating restaraunt along the boardwalk in the background.Comment

I have spent time on a rich man's yacht, on many trips, and he is none of those things in any way -- quite completely the opposite.
He's a very noted philanthropist -- probably because he's smarter than to sponsor that much varnish. (Otherwise there'd be nothing left to philanthropise with.)

Re: Drop dead gorgeous PØRN
It appears to be right where the floating "barge" appears in the third pic, but when I was there 10 years ago, it had a canopy and was looking a little more ship shape. I'll dig around in my pics and see if I can spot a name.
I was staying in Rapallo (more reasonable rates) at the time and went out to Portofino for the day.Comment

Re: Drop dead gorgeous PØRN
I made a stop in Portofino, on my way to La Spezia some years ago.
Even at the beginning of the season, in June, this is the most expansive harbor I ever went in.
They told me the price on the vhf to be sure I knew were I was entering.
My friend Brian said it's more expansive than in VineyardHaven"!
My Véronique insisted, " once in our life"...
I gave in .
I love her.
Very nice place.
Since I anchor a little on east and row in with the dinghy.
Same pleasure at no cost .Comment
