    What was left of the male gene pool after WWI

    There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.

      Who let the guy, second from the left, in without a stache? Seems like it might have been a prerequisite just to be in the room.

            Was thinking the same thing. Wonder what his story is?

                    My grandfather a returning army veteran served in France in WW1 as a pilot, shot down, injured by prop start later and ended up fighting in the trenches played for the University of Pittsburg. His coach was Pop Warner.

                    Without friends none of this is possible.

                              Snopes says the OP is a genuine photo from 1919 but found no evidence it was from a 'beauty' contest.
