On another thread I remarked how America politically seems to mirror an alcoholic on the downward spiral with a way to go yet before a possible recovery.
An apt analogy, as I remarked earlier. But it's unreasonable to think recovery is possible anytime soon, or possible at all.

exactly, if you can move on from TFG’s innumerable lies and crooked dealings then Biden’s age is easy to accept.

If Biden fails to avoid a debt default, he will be toast.

Not sure why we need another thread discussing the wisdom of Biden running again --

On another thread? You made that post on this thread not 5 posts prior. Is the drinking lamp already on down under?
                I'm joking of course.

Do you really believe that these are the most important issues the Federal government needs to address? It seems to me they should be pretty far down the list. What about the pending debt ceiling crisis? The ongoing train wreck at our southern border and related inaction on immigration policy reform? Out of control spending? Inflation (related to out of control spending)? Inaction on social security reform to avert a 28% benefit reduction to current recipients in a few short years because the money won’t be there to pay? These all have a far bigger impact on most people’s lives than guns or abortion.

When Trump ran the first time, and when Biden ran in the primary weren't there casts of, if not thousands, at least dozens? What happened to all of them?

100% created by Republicans in the House holding a gun to the head of the world economy. 'Give me what I want (but don't have the votes to pass) or I'll kill the hostage.'

The House passed a bill that would limit discretionary spending increase to 1%. Biden’s response has been a refusal to offer a counter proposal. He said from the beginning that he would not negotiate. A reasonable person would believe that some kind of compromise should be possible.

Bullsh!t. No compromise with hostage takers. Threatening to deliberately crash the economy unless they get what they otherwise don't have anything near the votes to pass is probably the most despicable thing the current crop of Republicans has done, and it's a long list.
