They’re openly saying it: Brexit has failed. But what comes next may be very dark indeed (msn.com)

I think a lot of people saw it coming, but I'm surprised he is admitting it. Can anyone claim it won't get worse?

He was not nicknamed ''The Swivel Eyed Loon'' for nothing. He was a banker (so should have known better) that is spelled with a B but should have been spelled with a W.

Brexit was colossally stupid, putting it mildly.

The only good thing about Brexit is that it knocks the overinflated egos of Brits down a few notches and makes them realize their country is just as susceptible to the ills Americans are experiencing. Brexit and football hooliganism.
In the US this perverted idea of “blood and soil” over “constitutional principles” is the most radical and anti-democratic and anti-Conservative idea I have heard in my lifetime.

I am surprised that you can walk straight with that chip on your shoulder.

                That's interesting.

                But what next?
Can it make a change or is this just some satisfying schadenfreude?
                What could the change be?

That's up to the Brits, unfortunately, like far too many Americans, they still have their heads up their a55es.

I doubt it is up to the Brits any longer. They shot themselves in both feet when they did Brexit. The EU is in the driver's seat.

I have extremely strong views on this.

The one political dream of my life, from 16 onwards, has been progress towards European Union.

I had been an activist in a small way and had the pleasure of meeting Roy Jenkins and Edward Heath. Up to 2016 I felt that we were making a little progress.

                      Those déplorables have wrecked it.

                      I absolutely hate those swine.

Farage is lying of course, just like the rest of them.

We are susceptible to the same ills as the US of A?

                          back on topic.

Op, here's the original article - would you change your link? there's no need to give microsoft/nbc any clicks. as soon as I started reading I realized it couldn't be a microsoft article.

The ‘remoaner elite’, the civil service, the BBC, universities, unions, refugees: anything is blamed but Brexit itself, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

and yes - he must be lying. surely no one actually believed that brexit would usher in a golden age for any but the destroyers.

The Guardian 'might' not have my point of view.
Brexit has just recently caused us some problems, as I am no longer a a EU 'citizen', but reside in France.. In principle, I was pro the common market but against the EU efforts to Federalize the EU, with more power being given to the Brussels bunch of clowns. Most of them are low level politicos, with dubious track records in their own countries, but telling everybody in Europe how to do things. Policing their own ranks has been a joke..
