  • Why we can't all be like Jeff Bezos

For the most part experience is making the same mistakes over and over again, only with greater confidence.

Just the support vessel is rather over the top.

The helicopter would’ve undoubtedly landed on Abeola, Koru’s $75 million support vessel with a helipad. Owing to gigantic triple masts reaching 230 feet, Koru does not feature a helipad, a minor inconvenience that the businessman tackled with a $75 million solution. The 247-foot-long vessel behind Koru is a beast, capable of cruising 5000 miles on a single tank. With a massive volume of approximately 1,900 GT, one of the largest support vessels worldwide accommodates 45 people, including crew, guests, and specialist staff.

And howzabout LS? I ain't sayin' she a gold digger, but she ain't mess with no broke ninjas. I'm sure she's able to put the lead in Jeffies pencil.

But that boat is no sailboat, certainly not one where you'd have a feeling of interacting with the wind and the waves. It's sheer size must have a completely isolating effect and what an utter waste of resources.

I could buy a really nice single handed sailboat just for the price of a single daily of maintenance of Bezos yacht

$137,000 is a bit more than the cost of 3 hrs flight time for F35.

I could buy a really nice cruising boat for the 37k and have a 100k left over for the cruising kitty.

The answer to the original question is that any of us could be,but there are many reasons why we aren't-all with dollar signs attached.

Do any of you middle age men ever go dayum I’m such a slacker?

I’m now 59 and I’ve nowhere near as accomplished as Bezos oar anyone in the elite end of my age.

I remember when Obama became president at the time and is still just 3 years older than me, thinking im such a looser of epic proportions.

To answer Joe's question. Never, not once, perfectly content at where I am in life. To achieve the kind of success that the OP subject has there has to have been some rather questionable behavior along the way to get there.

A review of the well publicized working conditions in the distribution centers, the pay, the hourly quotas for packing, looked down upon if you need to go to the bathroom, the pace that Prime drivers must make deliveries at has them jogging from the truck to the front door and back to the truck before speeding off.

No thanks, I can sleep at night knowing I'm not screwing over nor exploiting anyone in my chosen field. And that he resembles a Bond villain seems to be some sort of cosmic payoff for prior bad acts.

Agreed and the #1 reason we take care of our staff annd pay the highest wages. Yet we still live in the same apartment for the last 7 years. I have to shave this ugly mug every morning and I have to respect the man in the mirror.

I wouldn't be like Jeff Bezos if you paid me. Or even if he paid me. Okay, maybe for an hour or two in the afternoon, once in a while.
