Apparently its been on TV for 3 hours. The TV is off. If he wants to be my King, he needs to emigrate and live here... and even then, he's not my king. I don't go for the whole entitlement thing due to accidents of birth.

I rather feel Ian that the business of the oath may actually tip the scales. I also think that such a question would have won now anyhow. How is the problem, our constitution is in the way, you already know that. Our constitution would have to be rewritten I think…….good luck with that.
I too am a supporter of a republic, but given a referendum decision 'yes', there would have to be some years of negotiations, like there was pre-federation. In today's atmosphere, and with social media and AI to come, it would make any fracturing caused by a Voice decision pale into insignificance.

There was an awful lot of "the church" reminding everyone of its place in the hierarchy of power.
The single Michael Jackson style white glove really topped off some of the ridiculous symbolism.

Having never owned a TV, I have never "missed" anything.

The jury is still out on the King for me. That being said his mother set an extremely high bar. There is a purpose for the monarchy as the Queen showed us many times. As a human race we need leadership, symbolic included to keep from going amuck.
