A classic failure of modern sports franchise business. Their success in the early part of the season was due to the excellent performance of their younger players while the old guard was still recovering from various off-season surgeries etc. In the late going they let the old guard limp-along instead of again letting the younger guys step up. Partially a failure of sentimentality, but also a failure of greed... those old guys sell a lot of tshirts.
The leafs will be fine against the panthers. The league happily let Gudas have his way with Marchand but they won't let anything of the sort slide vs the darlings of toronto."Visionary" is he who in every egg sees a carbonara.Comment

My daughter was/is in shock. The Av's also got bumped, but the Kraken. Playoff time is very, very different, isn't it?
