So today we'll clean up the raggle taggle gypsies.

    First the Cape Cod Frosty:

This one's in the museum in Hyannis.

    ELF ©_MG_4028.jpg

    Its bow.

And next the 102 year old New Bedford born beetle cat:

    ELF ©_MG_4089.jpg

Another iron rot loss, sitting out in the yard.

    ELF ©_MG_4092.jpg

When the owner comes up with the bucks, this little beetle will be torn down completely and reconstructed from whatever was salvagable.

The Cotuit skiff - a lapstrake sided, flat bottomed skiff around 14' long. Carries a huge gaff rigged sail.

Echoing johnw, a most excellent BROTM thread. Elegant style. Boatiest. Genius putting the entire month's effort into a single thread already named for the electee. We've still got most of the year until the awards banquet, but I would nominate this for the BROTMOTY. I think splendid is not too strong.

Cotuit skiffs in action. They swamp easily, carry huge sails, make a really scary sound when they are jibed.

And, like all gaff rigged little dinghies, have enormous classic boat old world charm.

OK. So we have a big catboat - 25', Fenwick Williams designed, built in 1965, currently ensconsed in a barn in Eastham, MA, on Cape Cod.

            Her rudder

            Her accomodations

            Her off-center centerboard pivot point.

She needs a home. With a mooring. And a chance to participate in Catboat Rendezvous. She's almost ready to go, everything works, she doesn't leak. She'd like to go cruising, too.

Today is the last day for the reigning BROTM and I think we all owe her a big thank you and a round of applause. This has been one of the nicest threads I can remember.

Thank you, Emily! You did such a lovely job that I regret we will need to elect you again sometime. No good deed goes unpunished.

I have watched this thread with great interest. Thank you Emily.

Had i known - i would have avoided putting the boat in the yard and having y'all come.

Well, I never did get a Wianno senior, except for Gretchen's sorry transom, so here's a photo of a bunch of them on the verge of action.

And another class that I missed: the Herreshoff S. There are few left on the Cape, but mostly they've decamped to Bristol.

And just a reminder that this 102 year old 12' wooden bathtub is still going strong.
