Wianno Senior which escaped the fire, but has been replaced with a glass one. She's pretty beat up, and her shrink wrap has danced with some heavy wind. I think neither her owner, nor the person whose yard she sits in can quite bear to cut her up, but they don't sound like they're intending to get her up and running again.

          Very nice!

I knew a Gretchen a loooong time ago. A rowboat was involved, too.

Ahhh Jim "The Legend" Ledger's Sea Rover. I have to say I'm not a fan of hard chines on catboats. I much prefer the round chine of the Brewer Catboat he's building.

Jim is not "building" a Catboat. He is sculpting it. I am pretty sure that Rodin took less time to create "Le Penseur".
In fact Michelangelo took less time to create the "Pieta" than Jim has taken to plank his museum piece.
Indeed his masterwork is in league with Rodin, and Michelangelo, but.... Hopefully his will float, the others.... No.

Agreed he is releasing the art from a pile of wood. His thread up in B&R is my guilty bilge escape

I bet he's having more fun than Michelangelo.

So today I offer you an exquisite little launch named Donkey. She is cared for by E. M. Crosby and was splashed 4 days ago at Ned's new waterfront ramp on the very busy waterfront in Osterville, MA. His new access is across the channel from the boatyard founded by his grandfather where he grew up. The story about the launch is that she was built to go to Antarctica with the Byrd expedition, but fortunately didn't get taken along. Ain't nautical stores great!

                        How will it be used?

The woman who owns her also owns a Wianno Senior. Her home port is Harwich, one in which there are very few Wianno Seniors still in use, and none competing in that class events except hers. Her senior is also one of the wooden ones that did not get destroyed in the fire. However, I doubt this little launch will spend much time serving a daysailor. Probably the woman also owns something much bigger which she can keep in Harwich's deep water port.

More perspectives of that launch if you could please Emily.
