I don't get it. There are a lot of fantastic people here - caring & considerate most of the time - but it seems there are triggers for some folks. If you don't like someone, or don't care for what they say don't reply! Please.

I like, enjoy, learn from, and grow from good debate. Honest debate, good-faith debate. There are a handful here, most banned, some returned, that can't manage any of that. It's a game that must be won at all costs. There is a spectrum of toxicity, some of it rightfully reactive, much of it, intentionally inflammatory. I think it's crystal clear as to who is or has been intentionally and maliciously inflammatory. I also feel, no matter what, that it's appropriate to be intentionally inflammatory to racists, fascist, and all around sh177y people. I was banned for a year for simply calling out a known racist/fascist person who has since been banned for just that. Imagine, a community banning a person for standing up for what's right? Imagine a community and a moderator allowing some of the most toxic people linger long enough for them to cause those of us who have the balls to confront them to do so in such a way that breaks rules?

There is no room in any honest community for the likes of BigFella, or skyblue, or a few other hateful, destructive characters. The idea that there are/were any redeeming qualities in these people is a limp crock of sh17. The idea that we should just sit quietly in the face of such toxicity in the name of decorum doesn't sit well with me at all. Previous moderation was horrible at recognizing these characters and brilliant at banning those that had enough integrity to stand against them.

But then, as Pless has illustrated, we as a community thrive on these guys, as if there aren't enough interesting things to discuss . . . this forum is filled with drama-queens who feed these vile individuals who deserve nothing more than being called out for what they are and shown the door. And that's why we can't have nice things . . . because some of your lives are so effing boring that you need this sh17 like you need a drug. FFS, go outside.

Fair enough, maybe you do not mix with well travelled people with a familiarity of the same locations? Who exactly are the Russbots these days? Heimlaga used to post some great links on traditional boats from the North of Sweden and Finland, now he shouts "paid pro-putin propagandist", yet is unable to post a single comment to back up his claim. Can you do any better?

So you have seen Twodots CV.....its a bit of paper most likely, is that evidence he is real? You did not say you had met in person. So using your level of acceptable criteria, I trump your bit of paper by at least meeting in person the one who has met Vadim and Johan. And using your level of hypothetical realities, therefore it must be true, unless you can prove it is total bollox. Good luck with that.

A friend asks for a small favour to stop some online harrasment and mistaken identity. You appear to be ok with that. Some people have better standards. Just because you consider Twodot to be a "friend", is that enough for you to give him a pass on harassment/trolling and lying about someones identity?

I watched a debate about that on F24. I did not realise that France does not recycle water the same way many other countries do, less than 1%, its a bit of a surprise the groundwater has lasted as long as it has.

I got banned for life for asking a rhetorical question, that used a word in common daily use, that one particular black triangle masher addict, took offense to. I did not get banned for questioning the parentage of a person, as some individuals attempted to spread as rumour.

Guess I spent too much time Russia getting brain washed personally by Putin, is what they want to believe. Trying to give a Russian perspective here is like trying to argue woodenboats should all be burnt in favour of GRP. Its the internet......it can be good and bad.

it was me that johan was arguing with on the ukraine thread, when he told me as point of argument he'd "only been here a few months", and twodot commented, "heh, skaraborgcraft", as a reminder is sometimes useful for all involved. after which you went ballistic. i mean, johan went ballistic. man, it's hard to keep track.

speaking of johan, where is that guy. he was last seen arguing over his own identity on the ukraine thread. why doesn't he get his licks in here. did he died?

i'll miss that guy, johan. he used to like me. he even said "you used to be reasonable". almost the exact words and tone that you have posted on this thread. it really is hard to keep track of who you are talking to, isn't it.
