Hi there, I want to start a healthy "thread" where we can discuss what's actual good / bad for your health. Maybe there are some recommendations we can gather to improve our health as well. Let me start first and catch-up if you'd like

There are many things you can do to improve your health and potentially increase your lifespan. Here are some key tips:

    1. Eat a balanced diet: Consuming a balanced diet that is rich in whole, nutrient-dense foods can help prevent chronic diseases and promote overall health. Focus on eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
    2. Exercise regularly: Physical activity is essential for maintaining good health and can help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
    3. Manage stress: Chronic stress can lead to a range of health problems, so it's important to find ways to manage stress levels. This may include practicing mindfulness, meditation, or other relaxation techniques.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

This could be a good thread, but I see no mention of Beer or Mezcal.

They're part of a balanced diet - balancing Mezcal intake with beer intake requires careful study & experimentation (primarily the latter) over a lifetime.

Hahaha, spot on. But for real, what’s your current workout routine? My wife for example is so lazy so she decided to go with clinical approach and lost like 20 pounds because of that. I guess it's called
tonic weight loss surgery. It went great and she is happy with the results. Maybe that’s something you can also consider

I am in on this thread. I am in training for all the stuff I am gonna do this spring and summer.
eating right which includes almost no bread or gluten. Little sugar. Reduced alcohol consumption and return to weights, cardio and yoga.

Biggie - 8 hours of sleep a night. Tv off by 10.

Train coordination. For example dancing and climbing. Do stuff that stimulate your brain for example music. Pet animals.play with kids.

That which is fun for you is good for you

                      Re: Sport and fitness

We have hand weights and resistance bands here at home for some moderate resistance training. We have a WaterRower and just added an elliptical to our home workout room. We have a nice rebounder that my wife uses a lot. I should too! It is great for training balance and soft knees when working out. We also incorporate regular dance lessons. Dancing lessons are one of the best activities available for the mind and a great exercise! Hoping to build a rowing boat so we can get back on the water! My bikes don’t get much use these days. Driver’s vision around here seems to be always glued to their phones. I did recently get a bike for off-road and light single track but mountain biking just isn’t the same. If I’m in the woods I’d rather be walking.
