I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
Sure, he says that he will. However, Jill has become protective, for a reason I believe. She's no dummy, she sees the way her husband walks, same as I do. I Suspect Biden says he will be the candidate is only to avoid being a lame duck a moment before he has to.Tags: None -
Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
I hope not...but then, who?In the US this perverted idea of “blood and soil” over “constitutional principles” is the most radical and anti-democratic and anti-Conservative idea I have heard in my lifetime.

Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
kamala harris has got to be one of the most short sighted and generally ****ty vp picks ever
there's three up and comers from my home state
but they aren't quite ready to make a run yet: gretchen whitmer, dana nessel, and elissa slotkin - lets see how the first two navigate gun control and political extremism and abortion rights during this year in michigan and we'll know what we need to know about each of them; the esteemable elissa slotkin needs a tour as a senator - on the plus side, all three of them make right wing whacko heads explode
i like pete buttigieg quite a lot, but the nation's sadly not ready for him, yetLast edited by Paul Pless; 03-05-2023, 03:17 PM.Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.Comment

Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
He needs a sharp mind and some energy and stamina. He still seems to have enough of both at least as far as his public appearances go.There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.Comment

Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
Gretchen Whitmer seems to me to be the best potential candidate, assuming that Biden recognizes that running for a second term would blow the D’s best opportunity to defeat the chatotic Republican Party."Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
Uniting the country may no longer be possible in the short term. Uniting the Democrats is all that may be needed to win, especially if TFG loses the primaries and runs as an independent (fingers crossed).Last edited by Bflat; 03-05-2023, 05:29 PM.Comment

Yeah, Whitmer is an attractive candidate, and a state governor's office is the best possible place to run for pres. I would vote for her in a second over that dumpster fire Newsom.Comment

Re: I don't believe Biden will run for POTUS again
Given Mr. Biden's age, I would guess many people would think that a vote for him his possibly a vote for his VP. If many people share our Mr. Pless' opinion of Ms Harris, she would be a liability, but ditching her would look terrible.
An interesting strategic problem.Comment
