Re: Cat pictures
Misty the Wondercat, just now, miffed at being disturbed from a nap atop a cabinet.
A rescue, she. We've been good for each other, lo these 12 or so years.

KevinThere are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.

Re: Cat pictures
He's a very sweet boy, though wilful, and quite clever. He understands the doorknob principle, for example, but can't get a grip on them because of the tufts of fur on his paws. He did figure out how to turn on the water in the bathtub, so we had to come up with a way of preventing the handles from turning. He also loves to play fetch with plastic springs or paper straws, and is quite insistent when it's time to play.
He's a rescue, and apparently made quite an impression on his foster mom when he was a kitten, too.Last edited by Andrew Craig-Bennett; 02-03-2023, 04:29 PM.IMAGINES VEL NON FUERINTComment

Re: Cat pictures
I have sad news.
Both the young cats at the start of this thread are no more.
Charcoal the black one was killed by a motor vehicle; Luna the Persian tabby disappeared one day later. Her cater made flyers and advertising and called on all the neighbours but no luck. She was about to be chipped. She was wearing a harness and a lead; Margaret assumes that she was stolen.IMAGINES VEL NON FUERINTComment

Re: Cat pictures
We said goodbye to our cat Moon (named because he showed up on the harvest moon in 2004). He was big and semi-wild.
Out here, with foxes, coyotes, owls, cougars, et al. outdoor cats last about a year or two. But he roamed our valley for years and came back unscathed.
He liked to go on walks, following the top rail of the pole fences.
He loved to roost on my skiff. He'd have hated sailing, but he liked the boat.
We buried him last fall, age 19 or so, next to our dear old dog, Ruby.

That's tough. We had our cat Ozy for 16 years (he found us as an adult). He came sailing with me.
Once...

Re: Cat pictures
So, I don't have any photos.
But I just saw the Traveling show for "CATS" at the Duke Energy Center for the Preforming Arts. Great theater in Durham NC I have seen many shows there. It's only 200 miles from Richmond so we meet my family a little over half way between to dinner and a show/
"CATS" in one word: Strange!
Not the worst off Broadway show I have seen...but one of the strangestSkip

Re: Cat pictures
Blackie moved in with us about 11 weeks ago. He is settling in nicely and is a sweet little 15 lb kitty. This picture was taken a few days after he entered our lives.

Here he is a week ago. He is definitely more relaxed now.
