No, it isn't. It's an old-fashioned war of conquest, like the Romans invading Gaul, or Cromwell in Ireland. Mr Putin wants to restore the power and glory of the motherland and rebuild the USSR, or the Russian Empire before it.

What we believe it's all about is a different matter.

We were discussing the purported justifications, i.e. pre-emptive war. The issue in both cases is identical.

If Russia's assertions were incontrovertible it wouldn't justify the invasion. It's pre-emptive war, just like the Chimp Squad...

Here in the US, my former senator Pat Leahy spent 40+ years trying to get the US to stop using either & support efforts to outlaw them globally. His words fell on deaf ears.

No there is no need for cluster munition in Ukraine nor anywhere else. We should leave the use of such barbarous weapons as it is. A monopoly of the barbarous Russcist war criminals.

What is needed is three times the present supply of ordinary munition. Time to increase production!

Persons with Ukrainan passports are prewenting from leaving flooded Russian occupied areas. They are forced to go back home even if it is flooded and there is neither food nor drinking water. It also seems like the Russian army are trying to hold back resque attempts at least to some degree.

Please delete the map and don't publish any information concerning the ongoing offensive. We don't want the Russcists to know what Ukraine is doing. The Ukrainan high command has asked everybody to not spread any kind of information in the coming weeks.

Cant see that working out according to plan, if it is the plan. BTW what army in the world advertises their intentions on social media etc. This is all disinformation, everyone needs to stand up for peace and end the killing.
