........enough rope has been given and the metaphorical noose has tightened around Trump's feeble throat as it bears the full weight of a dying political carcass of useless, dying blubber. All we will see from this point on is his writhing at the end of the rope as the remaining political life is sapped out of his decadent pathetically writhing political biomass.

Not Trumpism but Trump himself is toast. He has defiled sacred ground and the vast majority of the population are turning in disgust. There is a mass realization and dismay reverberating through a shocked and traumatised body politic. The remaining few who are blinded by their own duplicity are caught, like rabbits in the spotlight, unsure of their next impulsive move while distancing themselves from Trump's magnum opus of January 6th.

Trump will be sidelined, but will never be held accountable for anything. Too many powerful people right up to the USSC and Murdoch woild be implicated or effected.

Read my post! I made a distinction between Trump and Trumpism with this sentence; Not Trumpism but Trump himself is toast.

Let me explain something to you, Hallam. You have no idea how stupid a really large chunk of the American public is, and that stupid chunk will continue to worship Trump and his descendants for decades to come.

Actually Fred Australians watch America on a daily basis through various media, most of which is held to the highest standard. We are very well informed about your country and have a clear view of how it works and of your history. The stupidity- or more to the point the gullibility- of a large number of your fellow citizens is noted on a daily basis.

Most Americans have no idea what cultural imperialism looks like or how saturated with American news virtually all our media are. They typically have no idea about the politics or governments of any other countries either, with the exception of whichever country they've decided to declare is their latest enemy.

Do you know, most Americans actually believe that Americans were fighting for THEIR freedom in Vietnam and Korea. A high proportion of Americans believe the Sept 11 incident was instigated by Saddam Hussein and that Iraq did have WMDs. The level of gullibility in our own country is very high but in the US, it's extreme.

Yep, sometimes you have to let the wheels fall off, the pus burst out, the ...... are we there yet?
Maybe this will be a catalyst for change, or maybe it will just stink up the room for a bit, like Sandy Hook.
I don't have s lot of faith that the system will deal with this, ie smack it down. To many vested interests and snowflakes.

Several things can happen. Nothing is one of them. the 25th amendment is possible. Impeachment and removal is possible; when do the two new senators join the senate?

I was kind of happy when I saw Nicolle Wallace today talking about how to fight the alternative facts crowd.
