Well there are commentators saying this will help Trump in his bid for the presidency, and on a serious note, I am no where near convinced that Trump is Toast. Around March 2024 is when this is likely to get to court…….

America is exceptional. I for one would like to see the country run by a guy in a prison. I dont see it getting any worse, might even improve with no "outside distractions". Im sure many of the American voting public feel the same way. Do i need to add a sarcasm emoji?

I still do not think that Donald will see any time in jail. He may be arrested, but he'll be out in 5.

Chances of conviction just went way down.
Can they find a jury that won't have at least one Cult-of-Trump acolyte?
It is a good day, but I'll be amazed if he spends a day in jail.
Of course, I've always been a pessimist.
I disagree. I believed, a couple of years ago, that juries would, no matter where, have some Trump supporters on them and none of the Jan. 6 people would be convicted. I was wrong.

This particular crime happened in Florida, so indicting him and trying him there eliminated jurisdictional disputes.

"Old" is not necessarily a bad thing. "Experience" is a good thing. I've known many people who've been of quite sound mind well into their 90's.

That would be a dangerous precedent.

Considering that a Grand Jury in Florida - of all places - would find that there was evidence to indict T****, it would seem to me that trying a case in Florida will likely be successful as well.

For the government to bring these charges, the case has *got* to be iron-clad.
