While he was having Trumpforce1 loaded with documents, he was still POTUS. So although the intent was there, he didn't commit that crime in DC.
I'd imagine that the jury selection will take several pools and have thousands of rejects on both sides.
BUT..... Miami isn't exactly the Panhandle. If this was being tried in Tallahassee, you might as well just congratulate the next POTUS and send everyone home for the next 18 months.

I'm slightly surprised that these charges were brought in Florida, but not much. This is both a power move, and a choice to bring charges where there's very little chance of having a conviction appealed due to venue.. the evidence is going to be overwhelming.

The other federal charges, those about January 6 and election subversion, will be filed in DC. And Georgia will bring their charges in August.

He's going to jail. And as the various felony cases pile up, the sentences will reflect the changes to the sentencing guidelines as he acquires a lengthy criminal record.

The reason for indicting in Florida on Espionage Act Section 2 is that

- it avoids a protracted fight over venue that would push put the trial date, and

- the section 2 of Espionage Act doesn't mention classification status - it relates to material related to the defense of the United States. That completely avoids arguing about whether TFG declassified the material in question (pro tip, though: there's a defined [and bureaucratic] process by which classified materials get declassified: simply wrinkling your brow and thinking "I declassify thee" doesn't cut the mustard.)

Bear in mind that, while the unlawful retention of defense-related documents occurred in Florida, the theft of the documents occurred in DC — he ceased to be president at 1200 EST 20 January 2021. It is possible that there could be more Espionage Act indictments coming from DC, related to the theft of the classified documents.

As for Hannity, what do you expect? Biden didn't press these charges, the DOJ did I presume.
