Went to Interlochen Arts Academy to see the final dance program of the school year (saw the orchestra and band concerts last night). Took a nap.

Wondered where the day went.

In a few hours will be playing a music gig in front of 10,000 hysterically screaming fans (actually about 30-40 people, but a boy can dream...).

I could hardly control my excitement last time.

I used to have a distant ancestor of your keyboard, which was (oddly enough) the E-10. I replaced it with a Korg Triton, and later a Nord Electro.

I also have a Yamaha s80, a Korg M50, and a Roland VR-730 clonewheel organ. But I seldom use these other keyboards, and I'll probably sell all three of them.

The Yamaha and the Korg are 88 keys, but they are way too heavy to hump around anymore, and the Roland VR just doesn't suit me, as I don't care for the waterfall keys.

So I think I'll end up getting a Neo Ventilator for the Eo9, and I'll try the Yamaha P125 for a good lightweight 88 key piano.

The Eo9 is extremely light, and I can throw it in the back seat of my truck and leave it there. Also, if it gets knocked over and damaged, or stolen, I won't be out a lot of money...

Port Ludlow inner harbor. C’mon up! We’re the only boat in the harbor.

Used to go there a lot as a kid, before the housing started to show up. There was a claw foot bathtub sunk in about 10 feet of water that my brother and I tried to catch with an old anchor thinking with our 5 year old brains that we could pull it up.

Yes I remember when there wasn’t a house to be seen in here. Although it is still a beautiful spot, just a little more landscaped now.

I busted up the front porch steps with a sledge hammer.
It was 80 year old brick and concrete with rebar.
When I recover from that, I'm gonna build some new wooden steps.
Not today.
My knee says I've done enough.

Being retired, I didn't have to do anything today I didn't want to.
So far: went to the gym for my daily workout, took the log splitter to the repair shop for a tune-up and am now going to spiff up one of the boats for the season. My main problem in life is finding things to do all day.

You just need a bigger boat

Not being an actual pianist, I don't mind the waterfall keys on the Electro, and it's fun as hell. I hear you on the weight thing, though - that's one reason I got the 4D61 instead of 73 or 88.

Oddly enough, it was the search for something similar (to use with the Triton) that led me to the Electro, and once I heard it, I was sold.
