Why are some members so confrontational and hateful on this forum?
I hope that in person they would be more civil.
The anonimity must give some folks courage.

The broad brush attacks on the integrity and intelligence
of conservatives or southerners is irritating.

Am i wrong?

One can't help but notice the liberal-conservative clashes. But where are these " southern bashing" threads? Do you have an example? I have been hanging here for a while now and honestly can't ever recall one.

I can't help but notice that the minority view here is far from politely tolerated. Kinda leads that minority to spend a little extra time in study and make sure that minority view is the informed view rather than just the popular one. Sometimes the popular view is merely based on media and PR hype rather than a rational investigation.

This decades minority view is next decades majority. It goes around regularly as long as neither end of the spectrum goes out on a limb. I was going to say it's not life or death, but I suppose for 4000+ military plus injuries and psych problems, it was and is.

It might not b a decad! How about the first Tues in Nov.? Of course, the bilge might change every one hundred years or so.

I don't recall southern bashing "threads" per se. But there is no doubt a fair amount of southern bashing, especially from a short list of forumites.
