Total production of the Safari twin-engined 4x4 was 694 cars.
As well as France, they were produced in Belgium (50 cars) and Spain (85 cars); just over 50 genuine cars remain.

Had a friend just rebuild a MGA twincam and tow it from northern Ontario back down south where it was to be delivered to a buyer. About two blocks from destination , going through an intersection it was blindsided by a big car running a red light. All that was left was the motor and the rear end.. I remember the rear end sitting out in a field for a long time. Shoulda coulda bought what was left but hindsight is 100%

            From https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/ne...go-go-auction/

            Not exactly sports but vintage

A 1971 Fiat 500F, affectionately known as Freddie, that was forgotten about for decades is set to go up for auction.
Freddie will go under the hammer in the Charterhouse auction of classic and vintage cars on Thursday, June 8, for an estimated £10,000 to £12,000.
Whilst there are many classic Fiat 500s about, most do not have the pedigree of Freddie who has had just two owners and covered 21,669 miles from new.

The Fiat 500 was originally registered new in 1971 by a New Forest Fiat dealership to a lady in Ringwood who would end up keeping Freddie for 10 years before selling him back to his original dealership.
The Fiat dealer put Freddie into the back of a store where he eventually was forgotten about, with old cardboard boxes and other rubbish being piled on top of him over the decades.
Then in 2015, he was discovered by the garage owner.

At this point, the garage were no longer Fiat dealers although continued to look after client Fiats, and a nut and bolt restoration was undertaken to put Freddie back on the road.
The restoration took six years and included a bare metal respray in his original colour of blue Turchese.

Not exactly vintage in the UK, Nick.
Vintage, as defined by the VSCC, is 1919-1930, with the better 1931-1939 cars accepted as post vintage thoroughbreds. Anything later is a 'classic'
                Nice wee car though.

I went to a cars and coffee event at the Antique Automobile Club of America in Hershey, PA this morning. Aside from all the hot rods, there were a few valid entries for this thread.

This is not as vintage as others, but it is an older Mazda RX-7 with a Corvette V8. Be careful, kids!

small block chevy has to be a hell of a lot heavier than a wankel

It's an LS though, ain't it.
You probably do some curls each am with one of those each hand eh.

I found my MG a couple of days ago. It's been parked in storage for the summer from hell in Stormlandia.
