Our ABC recption is so bad hat 90% f the time it's impossible. I have to plug the puter in and watch on line. Anyhow it 's so hot and dry down here we're mostly outside keeping the important stuff alive at that time. Last evening there were a couple of crop dusters working just over the ridge, makes you nervous, the whole area is a tinder box. 36c or so today and so far dead still, Adelaide is forecast for 39c so no relief in sight yet.
On a good note got my first birthday present yesterday, a camera waterproof to about 4m, and it floats. Great for the kayak.Comment

Yeah Rick, I've considered it and I even have the strips bundled up in the shed. But most of my paddling is in areas with a volcanic rock bottom and shale beaches and sharp rocks. I looked at my cheap Rotomoulded tub's bottom and it needs scraping again. That beautiful stripper for raffle wouldn't last in that condition for one trip. Same applies for a SOF which I started before I thought about it. Week before the show we were walking the kayaks through a few cms of water, 5k out in the bay an mixed sand and sharp lava bottom. I might finish a S&G ply one though, with a double bottom.
Stinker here today, I think I might find some surf later this arvo.
