Re: Self indulgent nostalgia
Mytika. Wanderer II may have had an influence on my design of the rig!
But Wanderer II is four feet longer!
Photo taken by Ned Philips in Veere, Netherlands, in 1986. Ned and Kate Phillips bought her from me in 1983.
She first visited in 1976 with me, rigged as a bermuda sloop, and I re-rigged her after that. An interesting case of a boat that is much happier and sails better on all points as a gaff cutter than she ever did under bermuda rig.
She has the happy knack of always finding herself good owners. I’m in touch with the present owner. After a few years in Scotland she’s in the Solent now.

Re: Self indulgent nostalgia
Beautiful boat!
Veere is such a nice place. One of my favorite spot in the Netherland. As nice by boat as on bicycle.Comment

Re: Self indulgent nostalgia
She looks like a lovely little ship. I for one wouldn't mind seeing more of her if you have the pictures to share.Steve
If you would have a good boat, be a good guy when you build her - honest, careful, patient, strong.

Re: Self indulgent nostalgia
She is a lovely little thing isn’t she? Currently boatless, I’m trying hard to resist a 22’ Harrison Butler though I know I should do something more “sensible”. I miss my old boat. She’s in good hands and it was right for me to pass her on but…..Comment

Re: Self indulgent nostalgia
She is very pretty and very little, but, usefully, all teak.
If you’ve got the book, she’s the Paida design.
A 22ft HB sounds like a Zyklon /Z4. Nice boats.IMAGINES VEL NON FUERINTComment
