    RAN Sailing Youtube link - 50’ strip plank build, Johan and Malin

    'Apologies if this has already been posted but I’m finding these guys and their build of their 50’, strip planked, own design yacht to be well worth watching and recommending. The videos are nicely put together, the work that Johan is doing is professional, well considered, pleasantly explained, inspirational and, believe it or not, relaxing.

    They are such a nice family and all of their work on this build, from buying a place to build the boat through to setting up the building frame, so interesting that their weekly videos have become my go-to Sunday morning coffee relaxation moment.

    I hope others may enjoy their progress as much as I have been.

      Thanks Greg, Leo and Steve are into the fiddly bits now which I don’t find as interesting so it’s refreshing to get in on the early stages of others

      Two more that I’ve found lately, equally as down to earth people

      first is a Dutch girl and an Aussie guy in Tassie building a 40’ Gartside pilot cutter strip planked.

      next is a Finnish guy building a 50’ strip planked with a schooner rigged wishbone I think. He does a lot of the work with CNC.

              Yes, I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been following Ran sailing since their first video and have really enjoyed watching their travels and all the sailing they’ve done as well as the great choices in boats they’ve owned.
