That's looking really nice, Tony. Good to hear you here.

I might visit the show, but who knows when I will have the interior finished. That cool winter delayed my epoxy work.

The greenhouse is a fun workspace, though it was hard to get far enough away from the boat to check for fairness when planking. We ended up putting everything in diagonally -- the strongback and 20' worktable -- to squeeze everything in.

      Cheers -- Tony

Tony ;I did as you have done on the exterior of my lapstrake ply boat . Primed with epoxy ,then 2 part poly topcoat . !0 yeqrs later the coating was still perfect.I recoated because the green had faded some ;pure vanity on my part .

Beautiful job! I just met a wooden boat builder from Jamestown the other night in the parking lot of a Providence Whole Foods. He said there is a group of fellas that frostbite sail their Shellback dinghies down there. Always good to know more wooden boat folks near by.

            Bill,

What did you use for the interior color(s)?

              Mike,

The Jamestpwn frostbiting fleet started when a group of locals all bought kits and did a community build, somewhere on the Cape I think. They've been sailing for decades now. The Shellbacks have been passed along from hand to hand since then.

Tony ;the floorboards are Sterling's Light Grey ( 2 part Poly) ,the structure primer grey .and the hull Cream . The primer is Petitt Protect Epoxy Primer 4700 Gray .I liked the color well enough and so stopped there .I was expecting some fadeing and chalking but haven't noticed either . No one comes in contact with it.

Fitting the thwarts now. Then comes the inwale, spray rail on the foredeck, oarlocks, a handhold on each stem...

And a bunch of sanding and varnishing!

                  Tony

                    Hi Tony,
Just a wee hint - round the inner edges (top & bottom) of the inwale before you fit it into the hull. Much easier to do the rounding (I use a trimmer router) on the workbench than doing it on the boat. Nice boat by the way :-)

                    Regards Neil

This is part of my CY inwale shortly after gluing - not sanded yet!!

Good Point, Neil. I'll do that except where the oarlock pads will go.

I dry fit the starboard inwale today, which involved some pretty fancy saw/chistle work where it fits under the foredeck round. Now I'll pop it back out for rounding and putting on the first coat of epoxy on the workbench.

                      Cheers -- Tony
