      • Here are a few photos from Swanson Harbor. Swanson Harbor is a great protect anchor tucked in behind Point Couverden, right at the confluence of Lynn Canal, Icy Strait, and Chatham Strait (it gets a bit rough here). There is a public refuge dock where you can tie up and wait for your window, we definitely took advantage of that. You do have to row yourself to shore though.

            • That's great! To be honest it looks a bit cold though, for the middle of summer!

              • It’s mostly jeans and sweatshirt weather Jonathan. But it’s 80 F here today, which is blazing hot for us.

                • I finally got around to doing a silly little afternoon project I’ve been meaning to do for the last couple years now. Building a bracket on Amazon for our little outboard.

This bit of scrap looks like it will work.

Every good bracket needs some swooping lines.

                  Now in 3D.

                  IMG_1892.jpg

went down to the boat and screwed it to the bulkhead and the outboard even fit on it.

I’m going to call that an improvement.

                          • Who goes boating in the rain?!?!

You can’t see it in the picture, but there are a couple high hooks that are better suited for wet gear. Those bottom hooks are for life jackets and they still work just fine for that.

My first inclination was to hang it next to the companion way steps, like this. IMG_1893.jpg
But the outboard just takes up way too much living space there and you couldn’t get to anything in the nook because it was in the way.

                            • So, the woofer has claimed the cabin and the feeding people are expelled to the cockpit. Glad to see the boat still being used and worked on.
