Building a Seaclipper 20 trimaran
Hiya everybody. Last fall, together with a friend, I started building a Seaclipper 20, a plywood trimaran designed by John Marples and Jim Brown. We are documenting the building process in a blog: http://seaclipper20.blogspot.it. It's not exactly wooden boatbuilding, but for sure there's a lot of wood in that boat!

Looks like a great project.
Did you use un-thickned epoxy to coat the gluing surfaces before you put on the thick putty? -
Re: Building a Seaclipper 20 trimaran
Nice job, and thanks for documenting the work. It will be a help and inspiration to many. This is the first lesson ye should learn: There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, it doesn't behoove any of us to speak evil of the rest of us.

No, I just spread the putty on the bare wood. I was surprised to read this recommendation in different places.

Both floats ("amas") completed and set apart. This image gives a better idea of sizes and lines
And here are the two amas stacked aside to make room for the main hull
Time to start the main hull (vaka) now. For more details go to the blog: http://seaclipper20.blogspot.itComment
