Sweet. We're still a couple of weeks away. We're working on it, though. I'll try to get the engine back in this afternoon.

Yea it is, but this week is launch and soak up. I won't put her stick in until she takes up, too much stress on the old girl.

But damn it does look like reef in weather out there

Will she leak as bad as last year? Wasn't this your first 'stored outside' season? Or did she spend the winter of 07/ 08 outside as well?

Good luck Joe , I'd say keep you feet dry , but we know thats not likely to happen

High tide was hours ago. No videos yet? Or are you still bailing?
    Phil, a little help here.

    OK back home

Well it was an uneventful launch, except if your count the banged up trailer tire I hit a curb with.

    Got the lettering done

Man that HAND lettering is a bitch

While I had the paint and brush I decided to freshen up the transom lettering

Then loaded up the trailer to the old trusty Volvo and off we went

Slipped in at high tide like no problem

Now here is the fun stuff I really concentrated on the below water line seams. That mixture of plumbers putty and bottom paint sure did the trick.

One hour latter and the water was minimal in the bilge. No big great flood this year.

    Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa

So Joe did you see my post #10 ? Or do you think the less leaking was all the recent hull work ? Either way good deal , although your "bailing like a mad man" photo's are kinda fun

'Tis a beauty indeed...The two handed launch worked well, but a left turn on Main St separated me from the trailered craft, and i couldn't prevent the 'Curb Event', lol...Tracks of my tears...
Joe, the slick seam treatment certainly worked, I'm amazed at the difference...A dry winter boat is taking on MINIMAL water...And that's a good thing!
I'm thinking about setting a mooring for the boat as the best sailing is after everyone has left the water, Oct./Nov....Dec. what with climate change

No it's braided marine grade line , a little frayed at the thimble but I'll melt that later
Tell ya what it's the best line o far. I initially used cable and it frayed and snapped repeatedly. It wasn't as smooth or a easy to fix a this line.

Went down early this morning to check on the pumps

Very little water in the bilge.

Step the mast some time this week and then LETS GO SAILING

Did anyone look at the Saturn V model rocket 'launch' video on the sidebar of Joe's 'launch' video?

I thought the back and forth in the Bilge was bad, but look at some of the commentary (and foul language) there. Yikes! Talk about politicizing everything....

Nice to see no leaks but you really must talk to the folks at your club about fixing that launching ramp Joe,I mean, an 18 foot daysailer with a centerboard needs a high tide to float off her trailer?!
