Greetings from Montana.
Anyone build a Woodfish lately? I would be interested in the details of materials and construction.
Thanks - Gary Davis

Gary,
Don't know that design. Who's the designer? Can you post a link?
Is that Iain Oughtred's Woodfish?
Kaa
Sorry - I figured the design was relatively well-known, and yes I was referring to Oughtred's Woodfish.
Thanks - Gary
Duckflat says it is the Elf designed for solid wood construction. Have sailed an Elf, very nice indeed.

Thanks again and for the images. A beautiful small boat I think. Anyone have a reasonable source for wide yellow or red cedar planks in the western US?
Gary
So no one's built a Woodfish?
Strongly suspect the photos above are the only one built so far == not unusual for a fairly new design built from trad materials.
Check out the Oughtred Yahoo group as they might know. Subscribe: oughtred-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
If you are really serious you can write Ian via snailmail for info and/or plans.

"The enemies of reason have a certain blind look."
Doctor Jacquin to Lieutenant D'Hubert, in Ridley Scott's first major film _The Duellists_.
Perhaps contact Adrian who build the first one by e-mail.

Thanks again. I tried the yahoo group and had some problems. I'll try again. I did send Iain a letter last week with lots of questions. Hopefully, I didn't overwhelm him.
