I'm thinking of going. There's a man I need to see about a boat....

I wish I was going. Going to Cape Cod again is on my "bucket list." Probably by car rather than motorcycle.

Why bend only on Sunday. We could do Sat as well.

Anyway, let's find a way to hook up. I'll get Marmalade warmed so we can gam a bit after show before spending $$.

Either day is good for me.

The boat sold, so I won't be going. It was a Brownell:

to replace the m-i-l's current boat.

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday but hope for an EBS Sunday, as on Saturday our Kedger's Club is holding the annual mid-winter.

Perhaps start with a little gam on Marmalade as the show winds down. Maybe I'll even find a heater to borrow . . .

Change o' plans again. I will be there, but Saturday only. Going to hear Hyannis Sound, an a cappella group and maybe stop by Pease and Arey's Pond. Hope to see the Magic 30 through the windows, if there are any. I'll stop by Marmalade's dock anyway, just to see her again (if there) if don't see anyone at the show. I'll be wearing my orange WB hat.

I have a window of a couple of hours on Sat and possible Sunday. rbgarr, if you are stopping at Arey's, what time? Might be able to meet for a wet in Orleans. PM for contact info.

I still have a dinner Saturday night but figure who ever would want to hang at a boat show much past 1600 or so.

So perhaps Saturday twilightish ending about 1730 - 1800 at Marmalade is possible.

    More later.

It was a nice show. I talked to Alec Brainerd for quite a while and saw some fine boats. It was a good facility for such an event: peaked ceilings, good light, wide carpeted aisles so you could stand back and take photos, etc.

On the way home I stopped to see the Boston Boat Show. Madness!

The weekend was a combination road trip and boatyard crawl. I sprinted out of work (Friday the 13th, so of course I'd spilled a quart of bottom paint all over my leg) went home, washed and headed south to do the following over two and half days:

    Friday afternoon
-Stop to look over a Brownell 25 for sale
-Spend the night with a friend who built a Joel White sloop

    Saturday
-Drive down the east side of Buzzards Bay to Woods Hole stopping at every boatyard, beach and harbor I could find
-Drove to see what was up at Pease Boatworks and Arey's Pond
-Watch the sun set from Chatham Light
-Watch the stars at Wellfleet's Cahoon Hollow Beach while eating dinner
-Hear the a capella group Hyannis Sound in Chatham

    Sunday
-Got up at dawn to go to the Osterville and Craigville beaches
-Stopped at Hyannis water front and saw Marmalade in her winter coat
-Eat at the Sunnyside Restaurant in Hyannis
-Go to the Cape's boat show, discuss getting a survey on the Brownell by Paul Haley. Never saw any WB Formites.
-Go to Boston's boat show, where I was especially surprised to see Rossiter Boats (of Canada http://www.rossiterboats.com/ ) with a booth and boat there
    -Drive back to Maine

A whirlwind trip, but fun as all get out.

    Next weekend Vinny and Shawn's...!

Bet you missed Doug Cooper in Quissett. But did you enjoy Rusty Strange's junk tied up there?

    You should ask the natives.

I met Ian. Hard to miss that hat.

Saw some really nice boats but took no pictures.

The BuzBuz 15 was nice, and it's always fun to see a Cotuit Skiff out of the water.

    Mean buggers, they are.
