I have a 1957 wagemaker cold molded hull that I was planning to use a chemical stripper on. There was a discussion a few days ago that warned against using a stripper.

Has anyone used a chemical stripper on a cold molded hull? If so, what brand?

    Thanks

I have not, but I can tell you that you should find out what adhesive was used in the cold-molding, and be sure to use a stripper that will not react with that adhesive.

The stripper, or at least the fumes, could easily penetrate a thin layer and perhaps cause delamination depending on what type of glue was used to begin with.
