    Default Fresh water or salt

I have a 17 foot lapstrake runabout that I am about to put to sleep for the winter it is used in brackish water ..should I rinse the interior with fresh water or leave the residue of the brackish water alone or add a solution of a fungus preventive to guard against dry rot?

In my runabout shop when I had a client's boat in for annual maintenance, I typically painted out rot prone areas with a rot preventative, in my case Cupra lignum.

Would be a good idea to leave some water in the boat to act as a humidifier. Leave boat as open as possible (seats out etc) to ensure air flow.
