Good to see that ingenuity is alive and well in Tulsa.
The car was probably worth less than the freight before the mods.
Yeah - not a bad use for a Pontiac. Grand Am isn't it?

Looking at the photos again I think it fair to say the bull was shitting itself.
Probably not a good driver.
I must admit amazement. I suppose if the bull started getting surly, a tap on the brakes would distract him.

I knew a clarinet playing merino stud owner, bought a ram at the Melbourne sales. I saw it in the back seat of his new Jag. XJ6 with the motor and air con running, parked in the city outside his bank.
He said the ram was worth more than the car, and I seem to remember a pic posted here of a small horse being carried in a Tatra saloon, from eastern europe somewhere.

Are you serious that he drove that bull very far at all in that car? Hmm. I need to show that to a buddy of mine who raises them. Maybe he could pick up a few pointers.
We've got Brahmas just down the road from me being crossed with Black Angus. I am not sure why, but someone thinks it's a good idea.

That's no bull. I mean that literally. I think that ol' boy is, uh, missing some equipment. I wonder if he helps "steer"?
Hmmm...(I think he's over qualified)

Thanks for sharing that Spin.... I only could imagine how far a person will do with what they have on hand...
As for haulin' a bull across stateline is being brave at that...
But one question, is that a steer (castrated bulls) or a bull?
I would be afraid to get trampled on by that bull if he ever had a whiff of heifer in heat.... Scary thought....

Half a lifetime ago I saved the life of a goat. I named him Stew as that was what he was on the verge of becoming when I saved him. Wrote a children's story about rescuing him and what happened.
You should have sen me transport the horny goat in the back of my station wagon from Nevada to northern California.
Had a 12 year old girl sitting in the back with him holding his rope so he couldn't but me while I drove.

The technical term reserved for such controlled breeding - as in this case between Asian and European cattle - is heterosis. It makes for greater resilience to weather conditions, feed availability, disease and pests, plus increased fertility and quicker weight-gain.
Cattle that have been rebaptised as Brahma in the US and Oz are known in their original habitat - Gujrat Province, India - as Kankrej.
I remember driving from California to Washington state to Michigan with a pregnant wife, a 3 year old daughter, and 2 month old dairy goats - AMC Gremlin.
Spent 2 nights at a hotel in Montana. Snowed in. Baby bottles and hay for the goats.
People with livestock are strange.
Two guys are driving down a country road when a pig falls out of the pickup truck they're following. The pig tumbles tail over snout into the ditch and they stop to check things out. Amazingly the pig's not hurt, just stunned, so they put him in the back seat and go chasing after the pickup. Of course there's a highway patrolman along the way and they get pulled over. They explain they were speeding because they were trying to return the pig to its owner. The cop says, “Ok, I admire the thought but there’s no way you’re gonna catch that truck. Tell you what. There’s a zoo a few miles up the road. You take the pig to the zoo and I’ll forget about the speeding ticket.” “Ok, great.” Off they go.
A couple of days later the cop sees the guys driving down the road with the pig in the back seat again, wearing a baseball cap. He pulls them over, walks up and says sternly, “I thought I told you two to take that pig to the zoo.” “We did. And he had such a good time that today we’re taking him to a ball game.”
Reminds me of a date I had once.
